With half an hour remaining, Blue Lock spends its last change to bring on Baro for Otoya, who grumbles that Baro's aggression is far too obvious for the defenders to miss. Baro shrugs it off as deliberate pressure. The side reshapes with Baro at right wing and Hiori dropping to right sideback. When Isagi tries to discuss tactics, Baro cuts him off to call his play dull, though Isagi recognizes that the substitution signals Ego's faith in the team and an order to overwhelm the opponent through sheer attack. Anri, uneasy about such an unfamiliar setup with no clear plan, questions whether they will hold up. Ego smugly answers that he intended to use Baro all along and never meant to concede, adding only that the ferocity of his players' egos has surprised even him. He tells her to watch, since this Blue Lock might forge football's most decisive moment.

As the forwards gather, Nagi greets Baro, who tells him to keep quiet and just feed him the ball. Rin then orders everyone to abandon balance and simply attack, insisting they will triumph even if it means trampling one another. Yukimiya remarks on Rin's ferocity while Baro and Nagi both agree there is no losing here. Isagi observes that this is the team's most attack-heavy arrangement yet, and play resumes with Blue Lock on the ball.

Isagi assesses Baro's strengths, his charging dribbles and roughly 28 meter shooting range, and concludes his job is to steer Baro into that zone while shadowing him for his own chance. Baro recalls his private briefing, in which Ego told him to disrupt the enemy shape by dribbling on both flanks and, above all, to fixate on Isagi and rob his goals until the final whistle. Isagi and Rin begin trading passes while ignoring Baro entirely, and a pass back to Hiori catches Hayate off guard. As Isagi moves to receive Hiori's next ball with Hayate closing to intercept, Baro barges in and scoops it away, announcing that he is out hunting Isagi. Hayate is baffled by such irrational movement. From the stands Ego explains that the more one understands football, the more vulnerable one becomes to Baro's chaos. Baro unleashes a chop-dribble that leaves Hayate stranded, and Ego brands him the joker card who spreads disorder across both sides of the pitch, warning that the closing thirty minutes lie beyond even his own predictions.

Baro enters as the final substitute in place of Otoya, taking the right wing while Hiori shifts to right sideback. Ego admits his players' passion has outstripped his forecasts and could produce a pivotal moment. Rin orders the forwards to focus solely on attacking, and Blue Lock adopts its most aggressive shape. Baro's disruptive style pulls the defense apart, and Ego likens his mindset to Shido's in naming him the team's joker card.
