Summary

In his office, Jinpachi Ego tells Anri Teieri that Blue Lock is still in an early honeymoon phase. Anri chides him over his diet, since he has been living on instant ramen and yakisoba ever since the project began. Out on the training ground, Team Z drills to sharpen their weapons, but Yoichi Isagi keeps failing to score. Jingo Raichi teases that his goal in the last match may have been luck.

Taking a breather, Isagi sinks into thought, convinced everyone on Team Z outclasses him and that he must figure out how his own weapon truly functions to be of use. He recalls Hyoma Chigiri's words from the previous night and the surprising new side of him they revealed. A screen flickers on with Ego, mid-meal, announcing the results of the stratum's sixth match. Every team is level except Team V, who lead. Ego explains that the striker whose goals mattered most to the squad tops the chart, which makes Isagi Team Z's new number one, then urges them to keep scoring to climb higher.

The broadcast shifts to a countdown: Team Z faces Team W in under a day. Training resumes with Isagi working alone, and Meguru Bachira asks whether he has noticed he has become Team Z's foundation. The chapter ends with the group eager for the coming game, though Chigiri stands apart, sharing none of their enthusiasm.
