Summary

In the wake of the Falling Devil's exit, armed forces seize Nayuta while Asa recovers in a hospital. A televised announcement launches the Chainsaw Man Church under Haruka Iseumi, though Fami is its hidden head. Detained by Yoshida, Denji is warned to stop becoming Chainsaw Man or Nayuta will be killed, yet he insists he wants to keep transforming. The Church soon parades a fake Chainsaw Man on air, infuriating Denji, while Asa and Yoru are recruited and Asa's devil kills begin getting publicly credited to him.

Denji is saddled with a Public Safety spy turned bodyguard, Fumiko Mifune, and later courted by Miri Sugo, who lures him to the Church with promises of romance. There Nobana Higashiyama lectures him on America's grip over Japan and insists he marry before any intimacy, prompting Denji to storm out after Barem Bridge mocks him and floats threats against Asa. The Weapons plot to drag Chainsaw Man back by slaughtering innocents, and at a department store Quanxi and Katana Man, now aligned with Public Safety, cut down several Hybrids before a raid begins. Meanwhile Yoshida assaults Asa at her apartment, costing her an arm before Yoru takes over and drives him off.

The Church members transform into Pseudo-Chainsaw People, and Barem reveals the plan to grow War and Chainsaw Man through public terror. Nayuta confirms her elder sister Fami is coming and shields Denji and Fumiko alongside Quanxi. When Barem torches Denji and Nayuta's home, presumably killing their pets, Denji finally pulls his ripcord and rampages through the Hybrids as Chainsaw Man, laughing wildly as he slays them all.

Aftermath

Horrified by his brutality, the crowd turns on Denji, stabbing and burning him until Nayuta seizes control of bystanders to defend him and is swarmed in his place. Barem fakes being under her control to incite the mob against her. A flashback exposes Nayuta's conflicted love for Denji and her abandoned wish to finish Makima's goals. The arc ends with Denji waking in a hospital, haunted by the belief that a father-killer like him can never have a family. Plot threads confirmed here include the Church's hunt for the Death Devil, the Death Devil's link to the Prophecy, and the revelation that the supposed Justice Devil was actually the Fire Devil.
