History
Before the events that kill him, Subaru handles the training of Miyagi's 2nd Division. His final assignment comes once Makima learns that news of Denji has leaked and that hired killers from abroad are converging on him. She rounds up several Public Safety hunters for protection, Subaru among them. Riding toward Tokyo with Kurose and Tendo, the three are forced off the road when a set of American brothers lays out a spike strip and wrecks their car. The siblings then gun down all three.
