Denji and Nayuta shop for discounted Chainsaw Man curry buns and dodge a devil attack handled by civilian hunters. That night Denji questions whether a normal life could make him happy. Meanwhile, Barem and the weapon hybrids plot a citywide attack to force Chainsaw Man out of hiding.
Browsing a supermarket, Denji and Nayuta spot Chainsaw Man Curry Buns marked down and scoop up a basketful. Out on the street a Devil suddenly attacks, but before Denji can yank his ripcord, civilian devil hunters swoop in to handle it. Back home, the two nibble the curry buns before a montage drifts them into night. Later, Denji rises to gaze at a Chainsaw Man poster, mulling over his recent decisions, while Nayuta wakes and tells him to come back to bed.
Denji asks whether ordinary milestones, finishing high school and taking a job, would bring him happiness. Nayuta asks if he is unhappy, and when he admits uncertainty she calls him hopeless, vowing to stay by his side forever to keep him content, since no one could stay glum around someone as cute as her. As she nods off again, Denji settles back down next to her. Come morning, inside a Family Burger Restaurant branch, the Whip Hybrid, Barem, the Spear Hybrid, and Miri talk through a citywide assault over lunch. Barem points out that the Church's planned day of worship tomorrow will tie up its members, leaving Devil attacks unanswered, though he expects an unending stream of Public Safety hunters the longer the rampage runs, which would corner Denji into becoming Chainsaw Man himself. When Miri challenges the need to target civilians and sow chaos, the Whip Hybrid quips that weapons need not think, prompting Miri to insist that, being human, he is entitled to. Barem grants both points, adds that they are also Devils, and asks what links the three; the Whip Hybrid jokes they are 'hard to spell.' Barem corrects her, saying all three exist to kill, so God will pardon the blood they shed tomorrow.
Titled Futsū no Jinsei Purusu, or 'Normal Life Plus,' the chapter belongs to Volume 16 in the Chainsaw Man Church arc. The Whip Hybrid's 'hard to spell' gag lands better in Japanese, where 'person' uses one simple kanji while 'devil' and 'weapon' each take two intricate ones. Denji's shelf also holds a copy of Shark Kick, a fake manga that originates in Look Back, a Fujimoto one-shot.

Look, the origins of this viral showdown trace back to a single tweet that playfully juxtaposed Reze's enigmatic allure against Bakugo's expl...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
