Summary

Under pouring rain, Denji drags himself up from the blazing ruins with a thick splinter of timber driven through him. Key Events

Overcome with fury and grief at Yoshida's death and Barem's contempt for the remains, Denji lets Pochita seize the reins. The intestine scarf lashes out, snatches Barem, and begins devouring him from the leg upward. The Flamethrower Hybrid first jokes that Pochita should kill him before eating, then his words curdle into rage and finally screams of agony as he vanishes down the maw. Death and Famine soon arrive at Pochita's side, with Famine relieved that his wrath has not turned toward them, while Death suspects it means he grasps exactly how dangerous their foe truly is.
