Summary

Deep in a forest, a woman trains a young man named Tolka by having him hunt a fox, asking after each stage, the shot, the skinning, the cooking, whether he felt he had ended its life, and every time he answers no. She then tells him their target is a sixteen-year-old Japanese boy, Denji. Calling her Master, Tolka agrees, hoping the work will buy her a retirement given her brief remaining lifespan. Over in China, Quanxi finishes an orgy with her harem of Fiends when a man arrives offering the Denji contract and promising any reward she names.

Key Events

Once she has talked it over with her companions, Quanxi's price is simple: full human rights and schooling for every Fiend in her harem. Meanwhile Makima and Kishibe weigh the danger Quanxi and her group pose, agreeing the gravest worry is the German assassin Santa Claus. Though rumored dead of old age, the pair stay wary, with Kishibe granting that the man's power could surpass their own. In Germany itself, a government agent finds an aging man seated on a bench and hands him the contract to hunt Denji; the man's fee is four children, three for Devil Contracts and one for pleasure.
