Appearance

Tall and athletically built with notably wide hips, Quanxi keeps her cream-colored hair gathered in a ponytail and covers her right eye with a patch, leaving a single brown eye visible. When she first appears she favors a black tank top, high-waisted trousers, and a broad belt, and she straps a set of sheaths across her back that carry as many as three dao blades. By the time she rejoins Public Safety she has traded that look for the hunter's suit and tie, swapping her leather patch for one of frilled lace and adding a matching black choker.

Triggering her Hybrid form reshapes her head and arms for archery. Her teeth harden into arrows that line her skull, broad curved horns rise at her temples in the shape of a bow, more arrowheads break through her neck, and her forearms sprout fleshy, bow-like fittings.

Personality

Quanxi carries herself with an unshakable calm, discussing business without a hint of awkwardness even while her lovers drape themselves over her in bed. She lives by the idea that ignorance is bliss, finding that the more she learns about something the less she enjoys it, yet her care for her fiend companions runs deep. When offered a reward she asks not for herself but that they be granted human rights and an education, and she refuses to raise a hand against them even after they are turned into dolls at her own peril.

In a fight she is coldly efficient, hurling opponents clear of the battlefield to thin their numbers and remove distractions, and when she lands in Hell she calls for a truce only until the danger passes, then strikes again the instant it does. She can be selective in her violence, knocking Aki and the Angel Devil out cold and offering to let Power walk away rather than killing them. Her history with Kishibe shadows much of this; the two once worked as partners in Public Safety, and even while crossing blades with him she still treats him as an old friend whose word she will heed.

Abilities

Even without transforming, Quanxi fights at a level Kishibe rates among the finest in the world. Her strength is described as beyond anything a human should manage; she carves through crowds of people and dolls until the force of her own swings shatters her blades, and she once beheaded three Weapon Hybrids before any could react while still in human shape. She moves fast enough to vanish from the sight of five hunters mid-strike, her reflexes sharp enough to pluck a thrown knife from the air, and she fights chiefly with swords and devastating kicks, switching weapons as they break.

Pulling an arrow from her right eye socket flips her into her Hybrid state, arming her with crossbows built into her arms that fire bolts capable of punching clean circular holes through a target or scattering like buckshot at close range. As a Hybrid she heals by drinking blood and can rebuild herself from nothing but her head, making her all but impossible to kill so long as someone draws her arrow. The same immortality appears to halt her aging, leaving her looking unchanged across decades, and she speaks both Japanese and Chinese with ease.
