Summary

Makima dresses and walks Denji into the corridor, where a crowd of Devils, several of them his fallen comrades, drop to their knees before the pair. She tells him they all served the Chainsaw Devil, risking their lives to shield it while they awaited the Day of Resurrection.

Mid-explanation, a Devil Hunter unit called the Anti-Makima Squad, directed remotely by Kishibe, breaches the building. Makima is gunned down as several Hunters cut their own throats to summon the Hell Devil, begging it to kill Makima and cast her into Hell. She calls out to Chainsaw Man to save her, and Denji's intestines erupt from his chest and strangle him.

As the Hunters outside slowly die, the Hell Devil rises in a blazing centaur shape. Standing on the corpses of the Anti-Makima Squad, Denji yanks his cord and becomes the Chainsaw Devil. He bolts outside in an instant and carves the Hell Devil into clean pieces, standing tall in a darker, bulkier form bristling with extra arms and blades as blood and organs shower down around him.
