Benzo Togari

Slight of build, Benzo wears his dark hair short and parted at the center, sports glasses, and tends to look severe. His outfit is the gakuran his school requires.

In keeping with the Renjaku High type, Benzo is hot-tempered and fast to swing alongside his Class 1-A peers. His class loyalties don't make him cold to outsiders, though; when Unji came asking, he agreed to help him with his studies.

At a so-called track meet in the Renjaku courtyard, Benzo's Class 1-A went up against Class 1-C, and he greeted Toramaru Sodenashi with a knee to the face. Word later reached the school that Unji was caught in the cursed Danmara trunk, so Benzo and his schoolmates dove into the dimension to retrieve him. On the last stage he and the rest battled the level's army while Unji and Momo tried to clear it.

Beating the stage sprang the Fairy-Tale Card yokai loose, and Benzo followed Turbo Granny's advice to shut his eyes against its mind games. After it took over Unji, Momo had everyone turn to stone with the Rock-Hard Costinus card to ride out the possessed boy's vacuum blast. As the yokai flew Unji's body toward the exit, Rin used Mai's Onbusuman gravity to haul the captives up, and they pursued it into the real world. Benzo joined the fight against those it controlled before Okarun took him down with help from Rokuro, Vega, Saint-Germain, and Unji. Afterward everyone who had pitched in shared a meal at the Goro Stamina Booster that Seiko laid on.
