Reaching the Ayase house for Seiko's aid, Okarun learns from Turbo Granny that she is away at work. He fills in Turbo Granny, Bamora, and Rin, who had arrived earlier bearing a thank-you gift for Seiko, about Momo being trapped in a board game and asks whether the doll knows anything about the cursed object. Turbo Granny ignores him, instead picking a fight with Mai after hearing her insults, which Bamora notes is because the two cannot stand each other. Okarun turns to Mai for answers but gets none as the squabble continues. He finally begs Turbo Granny to cooperate and promises her anything in return.

Turbo Granny agrees and asks whether a black cloth sat near the diorama. Told there was none, she irritably insists Rin tag along to assist as Okarun leads her to the object, leaving Bamora behind to watch the house. Inside the diorama, Momo and Unji enter a town and meet a shikigami frog. Bracing for an attack, they turn to stone using the last boss's ability, find it too slow to be useful, and switch to Carmine's swords and shields, only to be politely greeted instead of attacked. Momo realizes this frog is merely programmed to repeat itself, unlike the earlier ones. Drawn by a delicious smell, the pair pay with shikigami frogs to buy a giant cut of cooking meat and happily eat.
