Summary

The instant it is spotted, the strange little figure disappears on Momo, who calls out to Okarun and pushes him to give chase, sure she has seen a tiny old man. Okarun figures it was the famous cryptid people call the old man, while Momo suspects either a fairy or the very old man celebrities keep reporting, possibly linked to her shrinking. When the bell signals the break is over, Momo chooses to stay behind in the library and keep hunting for him. Okarun, Aira, and Jiji worry about leaving her by herself, but she insists she will manage. As they head off, Momo is glad to have such supportive friends and hopes to be her old size again before long.

In gym class, Kinta picks Okarun as his fitness partner, certain he can beat him based on Okarun's weak fifty-meter time back in junior high. He readily steps aside, though, so Hase can pair with Okarun, who is keen to race the boy. Even after Hase mentions his own fifty-meter mark of six seconds, Okarun edges past him with a 5.8, then keeps outperforming everyone in the rest of the drills. The display draws the gym teacher's eye, and he suggests Okarun try out for the baseball squad. Oblivious to all he endured to beat his earlier struggles, Okarun puzzles over how he turned so athletic without Turbo Granny lending her power.
