As the plane readies for takeoff, Momo, Jiji, and Bamora steady themselves. Trying to calm a nervous Jiji, Momo settles onto Unji's shoulder, startling him until he relaxes upon hearing her voice, which reassures her that he can still register her presence. Unji, who keeps calling her simply 'girl,' explains his blindness prevents him from seeing her. Momo objects to the nickname, but Unji notes she never told him her name at their first meeting. Jiji insists she keep it secret, stressing they attend separate schools and began as strangers, and urges Unji to stay out of their lives once the job is done.

When Momo offers to share her name anyway, Unji sides with Jiji about keeping his distance, yet still refuses to cut ties entirely because he wants to remain part of her life. Both Momo and Jiji read this as romantic interest, prompting Unji to clarify he meant ordinary friendship. Flustered, Jiji flushes red when Unji accuses him of acting like a clingy boyfriend who should rein in his feelings. Sensing the tension, Bamora offers to swap seats with Unji and asks him not to provoke Jiji, whom she considers a good person. Momo, meanwhile, notices Seiko sweating heavily and frets over her, though Seiko blames her medication and waves off concern.

Just as Jiji suggests channeling his ki to bolster Seiko, an armed man lunges from behind with a knife, only to be blocked by Unji's umbrellas. Unji announces that Futa acted on its own after detecting an enemy aboard. Two more assailants converge on Jiji, but Seiko and Momo shield him. Raiya guards Bamora and Unji tells her to take cover, yet she activates her kaiju suit instead, vowing to protect herself and amazing the watching boys. Heeding Jiji, she opens Empty Space to safeguard the other passengers. Naki Kito then steps forward, stunned to learn the people her family hunts are tied to 'that side.'

Unji proves able to perceive Momo and asks for her name, while Jiji argues that Unji should keep his distance from Momo once the ritual concludes. As Seiko begins sweating and Jiji checks on her, a Kito attempts to stab him, igniting the clash between the Ayase family group and the Kito Family. Bamora opens Empty Space, leading Naki to label them 'bastards from that side,' a reference to aliens.

This 19 page chapter continues the Typhoon Human Arc of the Ultimate Yokai Saga and debuted on May 6, 2025, as the opening of Volume 23. Its Japanese title reads Omaera Kai!!
