It's a Typhoon Direct Hit

Jiji warns everyone aboard about the typhoon and the flying sharks, prompting Bamora to peer out the window while the blind Unji wishes aloud that he too could witness them. Momo stays doubtful of the bizarre sight until a shark smashes into the plane, leaving her and Jiji stunned. Seiko orders everyone to brace and don oxygen masks as the aircraft begins a steep drop. Relaying Momo's plan through Jiji, Bamora enlarges her kaiju suit to plug the breach. More sharks batter the plane, and Jiji notices they are frozen solid. Seiko has everyone strap in and checks on all the passengers, the Kito Family included.

The cabin turns bitterly cold from the outside conditions, and Seiko, Jiji, and Momo worry about freezing like the sharks. After Momo calls out, she is relieved when Seiko finally registers her, though Seiko admits her medication has dulled her senses and barely lets her sense Momo at all, calling the abrupt typhoon a serious problem. Momo and Jiji wonder whether the god of Shimane is blocking them over the Evil Eye's curse and Momo's own, but Seiko insists the god of Izumo turns no one away. Spotting a face within the storm, Momo recognizes a Typhoon Human, a cryptid Okarun told her about that exists as a living typhoon, and suspects someone is steering it, much like the Serpo used Nessie during her second clash.

The pair notice the plane circling the storm, likely heading for a nearby airport, and figure they will be safe once it dissipates. Seiko rejects waiting, explaining that another chance to cure Momo will not come until next year, by which point her curse will have erased her from their memories. Left without options, Seiko concludes the Typhoon Human must be destroyed, deciding the frozen sharks are the key to striking at one of its parts.

Sharks puncture the plane and Bamora seals the gap with her kaiju suit. The Kitos and the Ayase group call a temporary truce. Seiko at last perceives Momo, though her medication still hampers her. Momo identifies the Typhoon Human and proposes the Serpo may have hired it. Seiko forms a plan to break the typhoon's natural structure using the sharks and reach Shimane on schedule.
