Here We Are, in Shimane

Okarun worries about eating inside Queen's office and angering her, but Kinta teases that he should do the reverse, baffling him. Rin shows Koki how to eat their instant noodles, and Manjiro tells Okarun that Queen has allowed the meal, offering him tea. Curious how the two know each other, Okarun learns they met when Queen brought a student for Manjiro to exorcise; he and Kinta also reel at learning Manjiro is younger than Queen, sits at age 36, and that one of the two is a masochist. Manjiro then briefs Okarun on a contest where someone has agents collecting yokai powers using kozuka knives, adding that his exorcist guild is investigating and they should stay wary until the culprit surfaces. When Okarun notes Seiko has no yokai powers, Manjiro explains the organizer lets agents use such powers and may have a hidden goal, prompting Kinta to declare he is on it.

Okarun asks about the item Manjiro carried, and Manjiro reveals Seiko wanted him to have a weapon for self-defense, which Kinta gripes is unfair since only one was given. Opening the box, the pair find only a twig and slump in disappointment; Kinta laughs while Okarun suspects a prank. Manjiro insists the twig is an oni club, and though he cannot say how Okarun should wield it, he agrees to train him and asks him to keep it as a charm. Asked about Queen's type, Manjiro claims it is himself since she treated him kindly, which Kinta doubts given she is kind to all. During the taxi ride toward the Izumo Grand Shrine, Momo daydreams about Okarun confessing again once she is restored, only for the Evil Eye to loudly demand more manju. Unji, hearing Bamora's vague account of Jiji's condition, wrongly concludes Jiji has a split personality. At the shrine, the priest informs Seiko that the revered Uchide-no-Kozuchi is gone, taken by a thief. She immediately piles into a cab to give chase, bringing Momo, Bamora, the priest, and the Evil Eye along, while Unji, Daiki, and Raiya remain at the shrine. The priest explains that the Phantom Ninja Thief keeps targeting temples to seize national treasures, yet a tracker placed on the relic points them to Matsue Castle.

Okarun and the others eat in the infirmary as Manjiro describes his history with Queen. He assures them his exorcist guild is hunting the organizer behind the scheme. Manjiro hands Okarun the oni club and plans to train him in its use. Momo's group reaches the Izumo Taisha only to find the Phantom Ninja Thief has taken the Uchide-no-Kozuchi. Seiko, Momo, Bamora, and the Evil Eye trail the priest's tracker toward Matsue Castle.

Chapter 201 runs 19 pages and begins the Shimane Arc within the Ultimate Yokai Saga, released on July 8, 2025, in Volume 23. Its Japanese title is Shimane ni Tsukimashita.
