Everyone's Whereabouts

With Bamora warning that the bubble of Empty Space is about to collapse, Momo rushes everyone back into their airline seats once the jet touches down at the next airport. Seiko, fresh to the sensation of leaving that frozen pocket, is bewildered, while Momo feels relief that ordinary reality stayed untouched. She catches two passengers fretting over the typhoon and the vanished attackers, then chooses not to dwell on it.

Far away, Naki and her sons climb free of the shark's carcass to find themselves floating in thin air. Convinced Momo dumped them somewhere remote once they were no longer of use, Naki swears vengeance and strikes the Great Serpent pose beside the Mongolian Death Worm, all of them oblivious to the fact that they are standing on the lunar surface with Earth hanging overhead. The Serpo, reviewing how their Typhoon Human failed to stop the plane, brand Momo a serious threat and weigh sending a full army before Saint-Germain can claim her first.

At Kami High, police detain Murakami while Koki, racked with guilt, gives a brief account and is told to come to the station for a full statement. Aira, in agony as she is loaded into the ambulance, asks that only Okarun ride with her, but Queen overrides this and sends Okarun and Rin home. Rin credits Aira and Koki for shielding her, and Kinta brushes off concern for the reviving Hase.

Learning that an unknown party hired Murakami and Koki to harvest yokai powers, Kinta frames the operation as organized crime built on outsourcing. He argues the mastermind will inevitably stumble, so the priority is keeping allies close. Manjiro then arrives, sent by Seiko to guard the group, reporting that she was attacked by a mysterious faction and handing Okarun a cloth-wrapped item meant to help if they become targets.

This installment opens Volume 23 and belongs to the Typhoon Human Arc within the Ultimate Yokai Saga. It sits between Chapter 199 and Chapter 201 and was published on July 1, 2025. The chapter is notable for the comedic reveal that the Kito family has been flung all the way to the moon, and for Kinta articulating the larger conspiracy behind the kozuka power thefts.
