Summary

The Evil Eye laughs at the sight of Seiko beaten beneath the Enenra, who promptly announces he will take the yokai's power too. Flinging the captive ninja to scatter his foe's smoke, the Evil Eye snatches Seiko away and drapes his sweater over her, treating the threat as a joke. His lunging punch sails through the smoky body, and the Enenra answers instantly with a kick, an elbow, a shoulder throw, and a string of named techniques, sneering at how little strength his opponent shows.

Provoked by the repeated low blows, the Evil Eye dubs him "Nug Lover," while the yokai insists physical hits are useless against living smoke and tells him to quit. A clean strike sends the Evil Eye flying, and the smoke yokai finally reveals his name as Red Baron, again pressing him to surrender.

Key Events

The Evil Eye turns inward, telling Jiji to be quiet and boasting he can beat Red Baron, which baffles the watching yokai. He then yields control, and Jiji introduces himself to Red Baron, who warns the boy he is courting death. Jiji agrees that dying would be a shame but vows to give everything, claiming combat experience of his own.

As Jiji charges his Evil Gun, Red Baron predicts it will fail just as the Evil Eye's attacks did. To his astonishment, the blast pushes him back instead of passing through his smoke, and Jiji shouts in triumph that the attack actually worked.
