Momo Still Has Some Pent-Up Feelings

Reuniting with Momo is the last thing the Serpo want, and she meets them with matching sarcasm; her arrival proves the underling they brought has failed. Okarun is glad to see her, but she tells him to stop staring while he has no clothes. Annoyed that Momo rescued her, Aira still asks for a team-up and, to Momo's shock, appears as Acrobatic Silky while refusing to give up Ken. Hearing Okarun's true name flusters Momo, who stumbles and drops her psychokinesis, leaving Aira and Okarun caught in the Serpo's psychic hold.

To exploit this, the Serpo drug their unwilling crab-headed servant into a stronger form that fires shockwave punches at the frozen pair. Momo recovers and strikes back psychically until the crab alien is redirected at her. Okarun and Aira then transform and turn the tide, with Okarun guiding Aira clear so she can hit the creature's weak spots. Momo warns them not to bunch up, which Aira misreads as jealousy, and Okarun's Ken-like praise again breaks Momo's focus. The crab alien sulks as the Serpo cut his pay.

The fight halts when water floods up into Empty Space. Surfacing with Okarun and Aira, Momo finds the ceiling and walls turned to water as well, and below them swims the creature from before: Nessie has surfaced and reduced the entire campus to water.

Momo Ayase, joined by Okarun and Aira Shiratori, faces off against the Serpo and the Dover Demon. Momo keeps switching off the Amazing Zone, yet each time Okarun's real name reaches her she falters and the Serpo seize control. The Serpo force the beaten Dover Demon into his ranged Strong Style Twenty-Four form, letting him throw heavy punches from afar. He drops Aira, but Okarun matches his speed and, dancing alongside Aira, the two land their blows. Nessie then emerges and drowns the entire school under water.

Released August 31, 2021 as the twenty-second chapter, this twenty-one-page entry sits in Volume 3 and belongs to the Serpo Arc under the Kintama Hunt Saga. Episode 9 of the anime adapts it. Its title nods to Momo's lingering, unsettled feelings that keep surfacing whenever Okarun's name comes up.
