Chapter 24: Merge! Serpo Dover Demon Nessie!

Momo, Okarun and Aira swim clear of the Serpo Dover Demon Nessie as it spits Nessie's water blasts from its mouth. When the barrage stops, they spot the fused beast drawing water back in through its gills, which tells them it has to recharge between attacks. Aira hooks her Acrobatic Silky hair around the creature's neck to reel herself in for a flying kick, but it blocks with a punch and answers with a flurry of shockwave strikes, explaining that the crab alien's arms make it a close-quarters fighter. The three are knocked apart, and after Okarun notes the monster wields mantis shrimp arms, Momo hatches a plan.

Judging Momo the biggest threat, the Serpo Dover Demon Nessie moves to finish her off now that its water blasts are spent. As its fist bears down, Momo uses her power to pull the surrounding water apart, and the creature's mantis shrimp arms rip themselves apart, unable to bear that force out of water. It then snares Momo in its teeth and dives to recharge a blast meant to split her in half. Aira's hair catches its neck, and Okarun uses the strand as a runway, launching himself to cleave the fused monster in two while scooping Momo into his arms.

The fight between Momo, Okarun and the Serpo Dover Demon Nessie reaches its climax. The fusion's disintegration beam runs dry on water, and Aira tangles its neck to make it release a laser while it boxes her. After the trio is scattered, Momo removes the water with her psychokinesis just as the beast punches, and the recoil shreds its arms. As it tries to swallow her and charge another beam, Okarun sprints along Aira's hair to pierce and kill the creature.

This is the twenty-fourth chapter of the Dandadan manga, part of the Serpo Arc within the Kintama Hunt Saga. It published on September 14, 2021, and appears in Volume 4. The chapter was adapted in Episode 9 of the anime.
