Chapter 34: The Kito Family Is Coming

Having uncovered the concealed chamber, Okarun urges Jiji to hold off until Momo returns from the hot springs, since venturing in could be too risky. A doorbell sends Jiji rushing over, expecting Momo, but he opens up to a cluster of women instead. At the spring, a dizzy Momo moves to climb out, only for a group of men to enter the mixed bath and block her exit. One starts on about gators preying on women in hot springs as he and the others crowd in. Momo readies her powers but is seized and too lightheaded to resist, until the bath mysteriously collapses on the men and frees her. She spots Turbo Granny soaking nearby, who admits she stowed away in Momo's bag to enjoy the water as well. As they leave, locals recognize the Kito men and chase them off for the disturbance. Walking together, Turbo Granny warns that Jiji's home is dangerous, having sensed it drenched in human blood.

The Kito women push into the house while the boys patch over the hole. In the mixed bath, the Kito men close in on Momo with lewd intent. Too dizzy for her powers to work, she is saved when Turbo Granny's luck topples the whole bathhouse and the chamber of commerce drives the men off. Tucked away in Momo's backpack, Turbo Granny later warns that Jiji's house reeks of spilled human blood.
