Summary

The Slit-Mouthed Woman has sealed Momo and Bamora within her mirror, and she scrawls lipstick across Momo's face, only to regret it when the result looks oddly cute. Irritated that the two block her view of her own reflection and keep clowning at her, the yokai lets them out so she can use the glass herself. The two have vanished, though, and she hears Momo intoning pomade, scrambling to catch her before the word reaches ten repetitions. She fails and crumbles to dust, undone because Momo slipped into Bamora's kaiju suit for its invisibility. Out of the ruins the two flee, relieved to survive, with Momo swearing never to set foot there again. When she thanks Bamora, the alien hugs her warmly, and a bond of trust forms.

Key Events

Reaching school just in time, Momo is scolded for nearly being late and joins Okarun and Aira, who had been waiting. Unaware of the lipstick doodle that has Aira giggling, Momo explains she brought Bamora along on her grandmother's instructions, and both girls scramble to keep an eager Bamora from charging at Okarun.

A staff member announces that Bamora, the exchange student Seiko mentioned, will join Okarun's class, since that teacher speaks fluent English and Momo's own room filled up after Jiji transferred in. Okarun is told to look after her, drawing protests, but the matter is settled. Later, the Class C representative, Rin Sawaki, bars Momo and Aira from the room, unwilling to let them disturb a study session with Bamora.
