Summary

Bamora's classmates swarm her with language lessons, and when one asks her origin, Kinta blurts that she hails from India. The class president presses Okarun on their connection, and he admits he only knows she is staying with Momo. Kinta jumps in to claim Bamora latched onto Okarun after he beat her, a story Okarun supports, yet the president trusts only Okarun's word and assumes he never lies. When Okarun then backs the tale of saving the world in a robot, she storms off, let down by his apparent dishonesty. Moments later Bamora rattles him by calling him her boyfriend, a label he hurries to deny.

Key Events

Out in the courtyard the group reunites, and Momo lays into Okarun for lingering in class rather than meeting up. With Aira and Bamora restraining her, Okarun slips away alongside Jiji, who explains the rep blocking her talk with him is what soured Momo's mood. Momo resents that Okarun speaks informally only with Jiji, a habit he ties to the Evil Eye dwelling inside the other boy.

Momo soon raises the golden sphere that runs Bamora's kaiju suit, asking whether it might be one of Okarun's kintama, though Kinta insists the orb was always built into the suit. As onlookers gather, she calls off the gathering and picks a fresh spot for next time.

Notes

That evening Seiko scolds Momo over the ruins and warns that the pomade chant merely banishes Reiko Kashima for a while, weakening with each use, so she would now have to repeat it a hundred times. She cautions that the unbeatable spirit will stalk Momo after ten each night, telling her to stay indoors and avoid windows as Reiko Kashima returns to roam Kamikoshi City. Set in the Space Globalists Arc under the Kintama Hunt Saga, the chapter opens Volume 10 and was released October 11, 2022.
