Standing on the shorter side, Sukui keeps her brown hair cropped close. Red glasses with three-quarter frames sit over her violet eyes, and one of her bangs falls across the Alliance headband so that it stays partly hidden. The rest of her outfit follows the usual Konoha ninja uniform.

Level-headed and practical, Sukui pairs genuine warmth with a firm sense of priorities. She is not heartless, yet she still pressed Yugao Uzuki to go after Hayate Gekko despite their old romance, reasoning that reclaiming the KIA scroll mattered more to the war's outcome than one person's grief.

Her strength lies in precise chakra control, which she channels into medical ninjutsu, and in a fight she also hurls scalpels at her targets. During the Fourth Shinobi World War she was posted to the Logistical Support and Medical Division. When a reincarnated Hayate Gekko and two accomplices made off with the scroll used to seal away the bodies of shinobi carrying kekkei genkai and other rare gifts, Sukui grasped how dangerous the theft was and assembled a retrieval team of Yokaze, Sakura Haruno, Io, and Yugao Uzuki. Aware of the pain she was causing Yugao, she apologised but held firm that the mission needed her. As the various fronts wound down and Sakura and Shizune broke off to reinforce Naruto and B, Sukui and the rest stayed behind to care for the wounded.
