Ichika Kaneki is the young daughter of Ken Kaneki and Touka Kirishima, born in the closing chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re. A naturally conceived one-eyed ghoul, she arrives into a rebuilt Tokyo and is cherished by the family and friends who surround her parents.
Ichika's hair falls to a medium length in a pale shade, darkening to deeper roots near the crown much as her father's did during his Haise Sasaki years. Her face is round and childlike, set with big violet eyes inherited from Touka, and a smile rarely leaves it. Her kakugan surfaces in the left eye, the same side her father's does.
She behaves much as any small child would, bubbly and brimming with energy.
Ichika was conceived before her parents and the rest of Goat went into hiding beneath the 24th Ward, and for a while no one knew whether the pregnancy could survive. Only after Dragon was destroyed and the city rebuilt was she safely born, greeted with deep affection by everyone in her circle. When guests came to the Kaneki home, she was happily weaving ribbons into her great-uncle Renji Yomo's hair, and she rushed to welcome the visitors and play with them before they moved on to see her parents. On another day she went walking with her mother and father and was lifted and spun about in her father's arms. As a naturally born one-eyed ghoul, it remains unknown whether she will develop the powers her parents carry, though like other born hybrids she can eat ordinary human food.
