Summary

Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke board the Mugen Train and immediately find themselves dealing with demonic threats traveling along with it. The danger soon escalates beyond ordinary foes when they must face the spirit of the train itself, a demon capable of pulling its victims into manufactured dreams.

The dream demon, Enmu, lures the slayers and other passengers into sleep, trapping them in fabricated inner worlds they must break out of through sheer resolve. Even after the threat of the train is addressed, a far more dangerous enemy emerges in the form of one of Muzan's elite servants, Akaza, whose appearance turns the night into a fight for survival.

Throughout the ordeal, the Flame Hashira fights to protect everyone aboard, and Tanjiro is pushed to keep refining his strength. A key thread of the arc is his deepening understanding of the Hinokami Kagura and its connection to Flame Breathing, an insight that becomes a powerful asset in his later battles.

Aftermath

The arc ends on a heavy, emotional note that reshapes Tanjiro's outlook and underscores the lethal gap between ordinary slayers and Muzan's top-ranked demons. The encounter with Akaza in particular leaves a lasting mark and sets a personal goal for the chapters ahead.

The lessons drawn from the Flame Hashira and from Tanjiro's growing grasp of his family's Breathing style carry directly into the Entertainment District Arc, where the surviving slayers face their next major assignment.
