Akito Ubuyashiki

As a young child, Akito closely resembles his later relative Kiriya. He wears a black bob cut topped with a wisteria ornament, giving him a delicate look.

His clothing is a floral kimono whose pattern matches the garments worn by his nieces, paired with a striped obi bearing a circular design and finished with an obiage and obijime. His expression tends to read as soft and somewhat withdrawn.

In contrast to the warm and patient Kagaya or the bitter Senri, Akito comes across as timid, hushed, and obedient.

He seems unable to assert himself against his older brother, carrying out Senri's wishes without objection. That inability to refuse ultimately leads to his death.

Akito is the youngest member of his generation within the Ubuyashiki family. His elder brother Senri, embittered by his own illness and by their father's suicide under the burden of leading the clan, pressures Akito into setting the family mansion on fire and joining him in a shared suicide.

Their mother dies in the blaze while trying to rescue them, and Kagaya is left as the only member of the immediate family to survive the fire.
