Characters

The largest grouping of characters belongs to the organization sworn to hunt demons. At its head sits the Ubuyashiki family, who guide the Corps across generations. Beneath them stand the Hashira, the small circle of elite swordsmen who form the strongest pillars of the order. The wider ranks include front-line slayers, the support staff of the Butterfly Mansion who tend the wounded, and the artisans of the swordsmith settlement who forge the special blades the fighters depend on.

Opposing the Corps are the demons, creatures born of human beings reshaped by the Demon King's blood. The most dangerous of them belong to the Twelve Kizuki, an inner echelon divided into Lower and Upper Ranks according to power. These named antagonists drive much of the conflict, each wielding a personal Blood Demon Art that makes them deadly in distinct ways.

Rounding out the cast are the everyday people who live in the world the slayers protect, from townsfolk and vendors to family members and bystanders. Some appear only briefly, while others shape the journeys of the central heroes. A number of minor and unnamed figures sit alongside this main roster as part of the larger ensemble.
