Omitsu ran the Kyogoku House, a brothel in the Yoshiwara red-light district, serving as its manager. Respected by her staff, she grew suspicious of the oiran Warabihime and confronted the demon Daki in hiding to protect the remaining girls, a stand that ultimately cost Omitsu her life.
Omitsu was a middle-aged woman with sharp eyes and visible wrinkles. She wore her black hair gathered up in a tsubushi shimada style fixed with a decorative comb.
Her attire was a patterned kimono tied off with a light-toned obi.
Omitsu was a well-regarded presence at the Kyogoku House, evidenced by how many people grieved when she was found dead. At first she respected the oiran Warabihime and looked the other way regarding the strange incidents around her. Over time that respect faded, and she ultimately confronted Warabihime to shield her remaining staff from further harm.

As a child, Omitsu was told stories by her elders about a beautiful but deeply twisted oiran known for her cruelty. Years later she rose to become the manager of the Kyogoku House, working with the oiran Warabihime without realizing she was actually the demon Daki.
After a string of incidents in which girls fled, were hurt, or took their own lives, Omitsu confronted Warabihime as the suspected cause. When she accused the oiran of driving the girls to their deaths, Warabihime coldly dismissed them and credited the house's success to herself. Recalling the childhood tale of cruel oirans who all added "hime" to their names and tilted their heads when angered, Omitsu saw Warabihime do exactly that. She challenged the oiran with a knife, prompting Daki to drop her disguise, seize Omitsu with her obi, carry her high above the district, and let her fall to her death.
