Daki

Two nights before the Slayers reach the district, the Kyogoku House manager Omitsu meets with her oiran and warns Warabihime to stop bullying the other courtesans. Warabihime plays innocent and reminds Omitsu that she draws in the money. Nervously, Omitsu recalls a story from her childhood about a stunning but vicious courtesan whose name also ended in hime and whose glare matched Warabihime's when displeased.

As Omitsu notes the unsettling parallels, Warabihime reverts to her true form as Daki and drags the manager out into the sky. Daki muses that those around her have survived by staying silent about her crimes, then mocks Omitsu's hidden knife before letting her fall to her death.

Daki lands on a rooftop and strolls off as bystanders find the body. Back in her room she greets Muzan Kibutsuji, who remarks that she has clearly devoured many humans and warns her not to grow reckless. He passes along word that Demon Slayers may be coming and urges her to become even more ruthless.

The flashback ends with Zenitsu facing Warabihime, who slams him into the wall and knocks him out, vowing harsh punishment for touching her. Omitsu's husband rushes in to beg forgiveness for the unconscious visitor, and Warabihime shifts her manner to apologize. As she leaves, she doubts Zenitsu is an ordinary human and gleefully welcomes the prospect of eating any Slayers who arrive. The chapter ends with Tanjiro uneasily sensing the town's dark, murky scent.

This chapter delivers Daki's reveal and her first on-page meeting with Muzan, underscoring her standing among his demons. It also confirms the death of the Kyogoku House manager Omitsu. The events correspond to anime Episode 36, and the chapter appears in Volume 9.
