Personality

Slasher is a vicious demon who cares for nothing beyond killing and eating humans. He has a sadistic streak, casually recounting how he clawed a woman until he grew bored and how he dug his nails into a captive boy. He is arrogant, mocking Kyojuro Rengoku and bragging about his speed, yet he is not above cowardly tactics such as taking a hostage to gain the upper hand. He also proves petty, growing angrier and more reckless when Kyojuro refuses to be rattled and turns his own provocations back on him.

History

The demon stalks a village near the railway in search of victims, and the press dubs him the Slasher after a string of attacks. He maims one woman and leaves her to die, then kills a train conductor he finds unworthy of eating. With the village too frightened to go out at night, the Demon Slayer Corps dispatches Kyojuro to investigate. At a train maintenance yard, Slasher seizes a young worker and uses the boy as a shield while taunting the Hashira with his speed. Switching targets to a pair of food vendors he hopes to kill out of spite, he is repeatedly thwarted, and when he challenges Kyojuro to a contest of speed, the Hashira beheads him before he can react.
