Yatsu

Yatsu is a short man of average build with a broad forehead and straight black hair reaching his shoulders. He is dressed in a haori striped vertically in yellow, worn over a pale green kimono and dark green hakama. Heavily intoxicated, his face is flushed with prominent red patches across his forehead and cheeks.

Yatsu is pushy, aggressive, and quick to anger, the sort of man who blames others even when he is at fault. After drunkenly colliding with a stranger he refuses an apology and tries to intimidate his target both physically, by gripping his shoulder, and verbally, by mocking his clothing and looks. He shows open contempt for those he perceives as higher class and never misses a chance to keep drinking, all while insisting he is not the least bit drunk.

In Asakusa, Yatsu has been making the rounds of the bars alongside his elder brother and the man's wife, and the whole party is thoroughly drunk as they stagger down an alley. Unable to walk straight, he bumps into a man in a white fedora and rounds on him in anger. When the man quietly apologizes and moves to pass, Yatsu seizes his shoulder and demands he come back, then sneers at his fine clothing and his deathly pale complexion.

The remarks enrage the stranger, who is in fact Muzan Kibutsuji, though Yatsu fails to notice and keeps taunting him. In an instant the man drives a fist into him, smashing him into the wall and crushing his skull. His sister-in-law rushes over and realizes he has stopped breathing. As an ordinary human, Yatsu possesses no special powers. He debuts in Chapter 14 and Episode 8.
