Summary

After wrecking the house, the Temari Demon Susamaru is pleased that her partner Yahaba detected the dwelling despite a concealing Blood Demon Art, though he scolds her messy attacks for soiling his clothes. Crouched over Nezuko to shield her, Tanjiro is stunned that all the damage came from a single thrown ball. Yushiro recognizes the demon and wonders whether she serves Muzan, but as he stands to face her, an unexpectedly swerving temari takes off his head. Shaken, Tanjiro orders Nezuko to carry the wounded woman to safety while he confronts the attacker, whose scent is far stronger than any demon he has fought.

Susamaru identifies Tanjiro by his hanafuda earrings as her target and hurls a temari, which he pierces with Water Breathing, Seventh Form. The ball slides off his blade and returns to her, its motion clearly unnatural. As Tamayo cradles Yushiro and his wounds close, the demon, furious at anyone disturbing his time with her, recovers. Susamaru then reveals herself as one of the Twelve Kizuki, sprouts extra arms, and launches six balls at once, injuring both Tamayo and Yushiro. Tanjiro cannot track them until Yushiro fixes a sight-granting talisman to his head, letting him perceive the invisible arrows steering each ball. He spots Yahaba hidden in a backyard tree and points Nezuko toward him; her relentless kicks weaken the arrows, and Tanjiro cuts the temari apart with Water Breathing, Third Form, before severing all of Susamaru's arms.
