Susamaru, called the Temari Demon, is one of the two main antagonists of the Asakusa Arc alongside Yahaba. Deceived by Muzan into thinking she belongs to the Twelve Kizuki, she hunts Tanjiro with deadly handballs while grinning through every battle.
Susamaru is a pale woman with vivid yellow eyes that have cat-like slit pupils and pale horizontal markings. Her black hair turns orange near the ends and is cut into short, spiky bangs.
Long silver earrings hang at her ears, and her orange kimono matches her hair color, worn beneath a black haori. When the fight begins in earnest she discards both, leaving a small black sarashi wrapped around her chest. Her ordinary frame thickens into a more muscular build, and two extra pairs of arms sprout from her torso and waist.
Susamaru is playful but brash and strikingly childish. She wears an almost constant smile, welcomes any contest, and repeats a favorite phrase about how much fun she is having whenever a clash entertains her. This immaturity sets her sharply apart from the stern Yahaba.
She is fanatically devoted to Muzan, fighting at full strength to claim Tanjiro's head and seize Tamayo for her master. When Tamayo brands Muzan a manipulative coward, Susamaru furiously rejects the accusation.
Susamaru holds her own against Tanjiro and pressures him throughout their fight, and Tamayo judges that she would eventually outlast Nezuko in a prolonged duel. Like all demons she can reshape her flesh, growing four extra arms to throw more handballs, and she regenerates rapidly, restoring all six arms moments after Tanjiro severs them. Her strength lets her smash through walls and decapitate Yushiro, and her stamina is effectively endless.
Her Blood Demon Art, Hiasobi Temari, lets her conjure tough temari handballs that shatter most objects on impact yet can be pierced by a Nichirin blade. She pairs them with Yahaba's guided arrows for greater lethality. Her demise comes not from combat but from the Curse of Kibutsuji, triggered when Tamayo's blood forces her to speak Muzan's name aloud, after which demonic arms crush her body and the sunrise erases the rest.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle earned $778 million globally and nearly 40 billion yen in Japan, but it still couldn't top Mugen Train's domestic record. Here's why that barely matters....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Susamaru appears in the Asakusa Arc of Demon Slayer, where she and Yahaba serve as the main antagonists. The two demons attack Tanjiro in the city of Asakusa on Muzan's orders.
Susamaru is not killed by Muzan in direct combat. She dies from the Curse of Kibutsuji, triggered when Tamayo's blood forces her to speak Muzan's name aloud, after which demonic arms crush her body and the sunrise erases the rest.
No, Susamaru is not actually one of the Twelve Kizuki. Muzan deceived her into thinking she belonged to that elite group, but she was never truly a member.
Susamaru's Blood Demon Art is Hiasobi Temari, which lets her conjure tough temari handballs that shatter most objects on impact, though they can be pierced by a Nichirin blade. She can also reshape her flesh to grow four extra arms, giving her six in total to throw more handballs.
