Kidōmaru

Dark-skinned and perpetually smirking, Kidōmaru wears his black, shaggy hair pulled into a ponytail above equally dark eyes, and he stands as the second-tallest of his team. His most striking trait is anatomical: three pairs of arms in place of the usual two, plus a third eye set into his forehead that normally stays shut beneath his Otogakure forehead protector.

He dresses in a sleeveless black shirt under a grey tunic bearing the Sound Four crest, snug black shorts, arm warmers, bandage-wrapped leg warmers over shinobi sandals, and a purple cord knotted at his waist. When Kabuto later revives him, he looks just as he did in life apart from the greyed sclerae shared by all the reincarnated dead.

Kidōmaru approaches combat as if it were a game, sliding through fights with a relaxed, almost bored ease until a worthy challenger appears. He is a gifted analyst who studies an opponent's movements for weaknesses, which is exactly how he pinpointed the blind spot in Neji Hyūga's vision. Strong foes delight him while weak ones bore him, and a streak of cruelty leads him to draw battles out, toying with victims and growing more vicious as he laughs.

That same appetite for fun makes him reckless, prone to escalating his cursed seal too eagerly and to underestimating Neji, a lapse that ultimately kills him. He peppers his taunts with gaming slang, dismissing Neji as a minor character while ranking the fight's difficulty. Arrogance runs through him as it does the whole Sound Four, though he carries slightly less of it, and after Kabuto reanimates him he channels bitter resentment into hunting the Sasuke Recovery Team.

Shikamaru gauged Kidōmaru's strength at jōnin level, and Kabuto judged him worth resurrecting. Although he prefers to strike from range, he holds his own in close-quarters taijutsu as well. His body carries two extra pairs of arms, giving him eight limbs suited to his spider motif, which let him wield multiple tools, weave several hand seals at once, and haul a bowstring to punishing tension. The hidden eye on his brow, revealed only in earnest fights, sharpens his aim so finely that he can note an arrow missing by mere centimeters from fifty meters out.

His cursed seal amplifies all of this across two stages, the second reshaping his body with horns, fangs, and grey hair. At the heart of his arsenal is chakra-laced silk spun from his spit or sweat: threads sticky yet elastic that ordinary blades cannot sever, useful for binding, trapping, or sensing. He can also harden a golden secretion into chakra-blocking metal, molding it into weapons, full-body armor, or a tree-shattering bow and arrow. His spider theme extends to summoning the giant Kyodaigumo, and alongside his teammates he wields a battery of cooperation techniques. Kabuto rated him the most intelligent of the Sound Four, a tactician who wasted no motion and refined each strike from what the last one taught him.
