Toki

Strands of long dark hair fall across most of Toki's face, worn with a bang, and her large black eyes sit above a coat of red lipstick. Her complexion is fair, and she dresses in a layered traditional kimono of mixed colours. While operating as the Cursed Warrior she traded that attire for a suit of armour.

In her guise as Sagi, Toki lived tethered to the past, consumed by the need to avenge her brother and father. Once Mōsō was beaten she softened, releasing that fixation and turning her attention forward, with the welfare of the Land of Birds now her first priority. She held deep gratitude toward Naruto for pulling her back from despair, and she appeared to harbour feelings for her attendant Chishima.

Toki spent her childhood beside her twin Sagi and their attendant Chishima, the siblings often playing near a lake full of egrets. After their father was assassinated and Sagi died soon after, grief nearly drove her to take her own life, until her brother's spirit intervened and left her his broken pocket watch before vanishing. Swearing vengeance, she assumed Sagi's name, mimicked his voice, and hid her hair, living a double life as the ruling daimyō while secretly moving as the masked Cursed Warrior to unravel the plot around her father's murder.

Her quarry was Hōki, who had killed both her father and brother while masquerading as the priest Mōsō. Her strike against him failed and she braced for death, but Naruto reached her, urged her to keep living for the Land of Birds, and defeated Hōki himself. Afterward her brother's watch resumed ticking, a sign she could finally move on. The next day she confessed the deception to her people, asked to remain in power to help the land heal, and was forgiven, ruling openly at last as herself. Toki is adept with a halberd and carries a sword, suggesting some grounding in kenjutsu.
