Kakashi's Resolve

Having overheard Obito and Madara talking, Naruto's shadow clone charges in with a Super Mini-Tailed Beast Ball, only for Madara to shrug off the attack and destroy the clone. Madara then seizes both the Eight and Nine-Tails, and in that window Kakashi turns to his old comrade, demanding to know what changed him. Naruto proclaims himself the Fourth Hokage's son and vows not to be crushed, but Madara conjures a colossal wood dragon that pushes Naruto into Tailed Beast Mode.

Kakashi keeps asking Obito why he chose Madara's road, though Obito insists there is nothing left to discuss. Their fight resumes: Obito hurls a barrage of shuriken, which Kakashi halts with a wall of earth. When Kakashi ties the choice to Rin, Obito snaps at him to stay quiet and warps him to the far dimension, yet Kakashi returns with the same technique.

As the wood dragon drains Kurama's chakra and drives Naruto toward collapse, both Kakashi and Guy leap in. Kakashi wields Lightning Cutter to shred Obito's remaining shuriken while Guy unleashes Daytime Tiger against Madara. Gyūki moves to strike the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path before the Ten-Tails can rise, spotting a crack in the barrier. Kurama then explains that Kakashi had been attacking Obito from the other dimension, having received a portion of its chakra through the touch of its hand.

Thanking Kurama, Kakashi comes back to the real world. Naruto and Killer B merge their massive spheres and blast the Demonic Statue far away. The statue's chakra seems to vanish, leaving the shinobi wondering if the battle is over, but as the smoke lifts, the revived Ten-Tails stands before them, and Obito and Madara set their plan in motion.
