Momoshiki's Manifestation

Sensing an Ōtsutsuki, Boro attacks, but Momoshiki, now surfacing through Boruto, wrecks his arm and kicks him away. Noticing how drained Boruto is, Momoshiki drops beside Naruto and drains a portion of his chakra before pummeling Boro again. Mitsuki wakes in time to watch Momoshiki finish Boro with an enormous Rasengan, and Kawaki also stirs. Remarking that Boruto has yet to lose everything, Momoshiki lets the boy's Kāma recede, and Mitsuki catches Boruto as he collapses with no memory of what took place. Two days later Naruto wakes in the hospital, and Boruto hurries off to tell Kawaki the news.

Gathered at Naruto's bedside, the group compares notes with Sasuke, Sai, Shikamaru, Sarada and Mitsuki. Sasuke confirms Jigen is an Ōtsutsuki who hid a Ten-Tails in a dimension he can no longer reach. Kawaki explains that every Kara member, himself included, was altered by the scientist Amado, and names one more Inner, Code. Shikamaru probes why Kawaki is called a vessel, and Boruto recalls Delta claiming his body was never his own. Privately Sarada and Mitsuki recount how Boro named Boruto as Momoshiki's vessel, and Sasuke concludes the Kāma may let Ōtsutsuki resurrect themselves, though he suspects Jigen too is a host for another being. Shikadai and Inojin bring Kawaki taiyaki, and Kawaki quietly turns over Momoshiki's words and his own expanding horn.

The episode falls within the Kawaki Arc of the Boruto anime and adapts manga chapters 43 and 44. It aired in Japan on July 18, 2021, and in English on January 10, 2023. It marks the first time in the franchise that the episode title is shown ahead of the opening credits. The opening theme is Reckless and the ending theme is Who are you?.
