The Castle of Nightmares

Konohamaru heals the wounded butler using Mitsuki's antibodies, and the grateful servant, loyal enough to die for his master, agrees to bring the shinobi to his employer. Konohamaru demands a name first, threatening to leave, and the butler gives in: his mistress is Sakuya, whose castle sits behind a barrier that only opens in his presence. Four purple-haired men observe from a distance. It emerges that Sakuya, unable to hold back the years, wants the Hashirama Cell to reclaim her youth.

Arriving at the castle, the butler finds an intruder already killed by the barrier and orders the body dumped beyond the village. Inside, Boruto notices every mirror is shattered, kept that way so Sakuya never sees her reflection. The butler springs a trap to restrain Boruto so Konohamaru can test the procedure on him, but Konohamaru stalls for a drink, letting the real Boruto continue the mission while a shadow clone takes his place.

Trailing the scent of perfume, Boruto downs Sakuya's guards and enters her chamber, only to discover she is already dead with a kunai in her back. He glimpses two of the purple-haired men among the fixtures, and a third, disguised as staff, alerts the butler to the intrusion. Boruto recognizes one man's earrings from the women last seen with Kirisaki, realizing this group has taken the Hashirama Cell and intends to pin Sakuya's murder on him.

The butler raises the alarm, and the assassins cut him down, then slaughter more of the castle staff and collapse the barrier. Konohamaru notes their blades are poisoned. One of the men shouts across the castle that Konoha shinobi have killed Sakuya, and that a reward awaits anyone who captures them.

Away from the castle, Yubina successfully transfuses Mitsuki's antibodies and her patient recovers. The butler had earlier explained that the Hashirama Cell was bought from a rogue medical firm researcher and proven on a girl whose fate no longer concerned them. Meanwhile Victor tips Deepa off to the cell's location, sending him to retrieve it, tying the castle's chaos back to the larger conspiracy.
