The Last Battle, Urashiki

Rising from the earth, Urashiki alarms Boruto and Naruto, and Jiraiya senses he is holding something back. The hunter swallows his chakra gourd, then consumes his own Rinnegan, sprouting a golden version on his brow and restoring his eyes as golden Byakugan. Team Ebisu breaks off to warn the village while Jiraiya pulls the boys clear of his lunges and takes the lead. Testing his foe, Jiraiya finds that Urashiki simply eats a Fire Release and guesses he cannot use space-time ninjutsu just then. Hair traps and an underworld swamp both fail to hold him. Elsewhere, Konohamaru struggles to raise an alarm until Shikamaru listens, sending several teams to help.

As Sasuke recovers under Sakura's care, Urashiki pins Naruto with a black receiver and hammers Jiraiya and Boruto. He strikes at Boruto heedless of the boy's vessel status, but Sasuke intercepts and cuts Naruto loose. Jiraiya's Rasengan only amuses Urashiki, who rains energy blasts as rain begins. Sasuke's Amaterasu misses, so he channels it onto his blade instead. When Jiraiya shields Naruto from an attack, the Nine-Tails' chakra erupts, exactly what Urashiki wanted.

Jiraiya warns Boruto that the cloak's power is devouring Naruto from within. Boruto pushes through his father's wild assault and reaches him, and their shared cooperation training lets them merge techniques into a joint Rasengan. As it collides with Urashiki's, Jiraiya slips in his own strike and Sasuke lands Kirin, holding the enemy in place long enough for the boys' jutsu to finish him. Both Uzumaki drop from exhaustion while Sasuke and Jiraiya trade weary remarks about teaching fools.

Urashiki eats his own Rinnegan and transforms into a stronger, golden-eyed form. Sasuke rejoins the fight, freeing Naruto from a black receiver. Naruto loses control of the Nine-Tails' chakra when Jiraiya shields him. Boruto reaches his father, and their combined Rasengan, aided by Jiraiya's distraction and Sasuke's Kirin, finally defeats Urashiki.

This is episode one-hundred-thirty-five of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, closing the Time Slip arc. It aired in Japan on December 8, 2019, and in English on September 21, 2021. The opening theme is Teenage Dream and the ending is Wish on. The victory pays off Boruto and Naruto's earlier Parent and Child Rasengan cooperation training.
