Summary

Stepping into a strange dimension in search of Jigen, the four are met instead by Boro, whom Kawaki recognises and warns is, in his own way, more dangerous than the man they came for. Boro reveals that Naruto has been sealed inside the container he carries, tosses it over for them to inspect, and cautions that only Jigen can safely release the seal. Kawaki confirms with his prosthetic hand that Naruto's chakra is truly inside, and when they look up, Boro has disappeared.

The fight opens with surges of acid rising from below, which Kawaki and then Boruto absorb through their Kāma. Boro confirms Delta's report that Boruto carries the mark, and when Boruto lands a Rasengan that grows larger the moment Kawaki touches him, the wound simply heals over. Kawaki reasons they must hurt Boro faster than his body can mend, but a creeping dark mist soon leaves both boys unable to move, and their Kāma cannot drain it.

Key Events

Naming Boruto as Momoshiki's vessel, Boro thanks him for erasing the deadline on Kara's plans. Mitsuki buys space with wind and lightning techniques and wraps Boro in snakes, one of which poisons him, but he weaves seals and shrugs the venom off. As Boro moves to kill Mitsuki, Sarada hurls a boulder to cover a retreat. Regrouping, the team works out that since Kāma only takes in chakra-based matter and the mist resists it, Boro's weapon must be physical, and after Boruto and Kawaki collapse, Mitsuki's snake bites and a shared hunch point to a virus deployed through scientific ninja tools.

Mitsuki nominates Sarada as captain for calling the withdrawal. She then trades fire against Boro's water and lava while keeping her distance from the mist. When he seizes her by the throat, she blinds him with a point-blank blaze and signals the boys, whose Kāma reactivates. Boruto lands a resonance-boosted Rasengan that tears away much of Boro's upper body, the earlier snake bites having served as antibodies, yet to everyone's horror Boro regenerates once more.
