Named for the homeward spell, this chapter delivers the climax of Frieren's slip into the past. With her help Himmel shatters Grausam's illusion and routs the demons one by one, while the magic called Vialathor at last carries Frieren back to the era she belongs to.
The chapter shares its name with Vialathor, the magic meant to carry Frieren home, and it caps off her unexpected journey into the past. Trapped within an illusion spun by the demon Grausam, Himmel breaks loose with Frieren's aid and drives his captor into retreat. Fleeting dream visions surface during the struggle, among them the figures of Lord Norm and Voll.
Freed from the illusion, Himmel rounds on Solitär and pushes that demon to flee as well, while Eisen deals a wound to Rivale that sends the last of the attackers running. Their plan collapses entirely when Frieren is finally swept back to her own era, robbing the demons of any chance to seize her and the future knowledge she carries.
