Three decades past Himmel's death, the seventy-eighth chapter strands Frieren's party at a storm-locked lake until a ferryman swaps passage for a hunt. The errand turns up the hero's lost diary in a sealed monastery, and the boatman, moved by how it touches Frieren, lets her keep it.
Thirty years on from Himmel's death, Frieren's party sits stranded in a harbor town on Lake Korridor. Rain drags into a second week, and the ferryman will not risk the storm, so the three turn over other crossings; brutal winds, the lake's breadth, and the ringing mountains rule out flying across or skirting it, and they resign themselves to waiting the season out. Once the skies clear they go back to the boatman but lack the fare. Rather than coin, he asks them to retrieve Himmel's lost memoir, rumored to rest in an abandoned monastery on an island behind a barrier, and Frieren takes the job despite her surprise at the choice of hiding place.
Out on the water Stark marvels that the lake reads like an ocean, fleets sliding past, and the ferryman puts it down to peak shipping season, adding a stubborn rumor of a wholly golden city to the north that nobody he knows has ever reached. They make the island, Frieren undoes the barrier, and within the monastery they find a statue of Himmel with his journal set beneath it. She confirms the handwriting as his and reads back the plain daily entries.
Offered the memoir as payment, the ferryman declines, urging her to keep what so clearly matters to her and betting the other books will cover the cost. Homeward, a kraken strikes the ferry and is presumably put down by the party.
Frieren's party rides out a lengthy storm at Lake Korridor, then trades a search for fare, agreeing to recover Himmel's lost memoir. Frieren strips away the barrier guarding an island monastery and reclaims the diary. The ferryman waves off taking it as payment, letting her hold on to it. A kraken hits the ferry on the way back.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
