Mina Sohma

Large, round eyes in a golden-yellow shade sit above a bright, often smiling face that Sawa Mitoma finds adorable. She inherits her father's straight blonde hair, worn long down to her lower back with evenly cut bangs sweeping across the left side, where a butterfly clip holds them. A dress marks her first appearance.

Warm, spirited, and easily excited, Mina cannot bear to sit idle and is always itching to play, hating nothing more than the weakness that illness brings to her active body. Much like her relative Sora Sohma, she is outgoing and unafraid to befriend strangers or blurt out whatever she is thinking. She loves being pampered, happily leaning on Hajime and Mutsuki when she is unwell or when her father is abroad, yet she is strikingly mature underneath: she knows she wants to inherit and outdo her father's company, works hard toward it, and readily uses her wealthy family's reach, at one point offering Sawa access to her father's lawyers over her mother's abuse.

Mina is the eldest child of Momiji and his wife, and with her father frequently away on business she grows up shuttling between relatives such as Hajime and Mutsuki, batting a ball since she was small. In Fruits Basket Another she invites Sora and Sawa to a batting center to break in a birthday bat, mentions her father is overseas again, and, overhearing Sawa's troubles with her mother and Hajime's dislike of his grandfather, offers her father's lawyer, drawing a scolding from Hajime for flaunting his influence. She and Sora coach a hopeless Sawa through some swings before her aunt Momo collects her to greet Momiji at the airport, and she leaves wishing Sawa a blessed future. Later she welcomes Sawa to the Sohma cottage with Hibika Sohma, teasing her about Shiki Sohma and engineering an aquarium outing between the two, then spends the trip playing on the beach with Sora and joining the family's evening fireworks.
