Sora Sohma

Sora is very much her mother's daughter in looks. Her straight black hair falls to her waist, though she prefers binding it into pigtails rather than wearing it loose, and a neat fringe cut straight across sits above the large brown eyes she got from her father. Over the standard school uniform she adds a black sweater, pairing a short dark skirt with leggings and heeled boots.

Where her face favors Rin, her manner leans toward Haru. She blurts out offbeat lines, teases lightly, and throws a sudden T-pose when she spots someone she is fond of. Beyond those quirks she is bright, chatty, and endlessly sociable, striking up conversation with strangers and coining cute nicknames on the spot, and she habitually speaks of herself in the third person, a quirk that only sharpens her childlike charm.

For all her scattered, airheaded moments and her open admission that she struggles with studying, Sora throws herself fully into whatever she does, dreaming simply of finishing high school without flunking. She hugs the people she likes without hesitation and, despite the childish front, offers thoughtful, empathetic advice. Blunt and headstrong, she says exactly what she means, and anyone who angers her quickly learns just how frightening she can turn.

Sora is the firstborn of Hatsuharu and Isuzu, and because her parents kept close ties with the other Sohmas, she grew up surrounded by their children. She first appears at school sipping juice as she wanders the grounds, stumbling onto her brother as he carries Sawa Mitoma. She greets the newcomer warmly and, to keep things simple, has Sawa call both twins by their first names. Later she is seen inviting herself along to a gathering thrown by Michi Manabe. With Sawa she is friendly and encouraging, she trades typical sibling jabs with the far more serious Riku, and she clings affectionately to Hajime, whom she has clearly known since they were small.
