Rio Mosca

Standing taller than most of his classmates, Rio carries an unremarkable, even build. His looks clearly echo his mother, right down to the shape of his face. Cropped black strands fall in a long fringe across the left portion of his features, while a couple of stubborn cowlicks jut up at the crown, and a subtle undercut sits beneath, easy to miss at a glance. Because his father comes from abroad, the color reads a touch paler than Saki's own. Sleepy violet eyes round out the look.

Easygoing and even-tempered, Rio comes across as approachable and quick to grasp what the people near him are feeling. A soft, steady smile rarely leaves his face, and he keeps a level head no matter the situation.

He turns up early on when he and Shiki drop by to see Chizuru, who is minding his father Ayame's shop single-handedly while Sawa Mitoma helps out part-time. Rio stays close to Shiki despite the gap in their school years, sharing the same club and plenty of interests, and he figures that anyone Shiki counts as a friend is his friend too. His bond with Chizuru runs much the same way, and he cares enough to check in on him at the store even after being asked not to. By his uncle Megumi's account, Rio did not inherit his mother's strange sensing gift, which suggests he grew up an ordinary boy.
