Appearance

Save for a pair of stripe-like scars running down either side of his head, Forever looks much like an everyday orangutan, and he only dons a captain's uniform once his Stand comes to light. He lacks the flared cheek pads and throat pouch that some male orangutans develop.

His raw strength is roughly five times that of a grown man, enough to tear a person's arm clean off.

Personality

Forever blurs the line between beast and man. He lusts after human women, leering at pornographic magazines and fixating on Anne, and he indulges in oddly refined habits such as smoking, slicing his own apples, reading, and rapidly solving a Rubik's Cube. Those human touches sit beside a savage streak: sure of his mastery over the ship, he toys with his prey, but wounding his considerable pride shatters his composure and turns him violent in an instant. Like the other Stand users scattered along the road to Egypt, he is a servant of DIO tasked with killing Jotaro before the group can arrive.

History

Forever ambushes Jotaro's party at sea between China and Singapore, shortly after the affair with the false Captain Tennille. Boarding a deserted oil tanker, the group finds only a caged orangutan, until a crewman is slain by a mechanical hook and suspicion of a Stand user takes hold. Drawn to Anne, Forever breaks loose, slaughters the remaining sailors, and corners her in the shower before Jotaro steps in. The ape reclaims the upper hand by exploiting the fact that no one imagines the entire ship to be his Stand, Strength, which had reshaped a wrecked yacht into the massive freighter he commands.

Pinned down, Jotaro goads him by flicking a uniform button at him, and the insult to his pride brings the beast within reach of the Star Finger. Forever suddenly begs for mercy, baring his belly in animal submission, but Jotaro refuses, declaring that the creature forfeited the rules of the animal kingdom and grew as corrupt as any man, then finishes him with a flurry of Star Platinum's blows. With its master dead, the ship crumbles back into the ruined boat it once was. The OVA tells it differently, leaving Jotaro out of action so that Polnareff arrives to cut Forever down with Silver Chariot.
