Mikitaka Hazekura

Mikitaka looks like a slim teenage boy of roughly above-average height, with pointed ears and long, straight, pale hair swept back over his head. He first turns up wearing a chain across his nose that vanishes in later chapters, and his design is often compared to Legolas from The Lord of the Rings.

His modified dark school uniform is covered in cosmic and extraterrestrial motifs. Ringed planets sit on either side of his collar, while a column down his front carries two flying saucers, a pair of stars, and an infinity sign whose loops hold a crescent moon and a sun.

Presenting himself as a peaceful visitor of 216 years from space, Mikitaka shows boundless fascination with human customs while grasping almost none of them. Offered a handkerchief without concern, he simply eats it, and he cannot register sarcasm or read a room. He describes himself as gentle, says he left his weapons aboard his shuttle since he arrived with no wish to fight, and dotes on animals, even keeping a pet mouse.

Otherwise he is calm and agreeable, quick to risk himself for friends and eager to repay any kindness, thanking Okuyasu and Josuke for their handkerchiefs with ice creams shaped from the flesh of his palms. One sharp quirk stands out: the wail of a siren throws him into agony, reddening his skin as he scrambles for escape and insists the sound is poison to his kind.

Yoshihiro Kira, searching for new Stand users to shield his son, guided the Arrow into Mikitaka as its seventh target, but the point glanced off his neck and left only a scratch. The next morning, Okuyasu Nijimura and Josuke Higashikata stumble onto a spread of crop circles with Mikitaka half-buried at the center. He wakes asking whether he has landed on Earth and declaring himself an alien, and their disbelief cracks only when he devours a handkerchief and produces frozen ice creams from his bag.

He gives his name as Nu Mikitakazo Nshi, a space pilot of 216 years whose dying homeworld lies in the Magellanic Clouds. A passing fire truck triggers a violent skin reaction and forces him to reveal his transforming power for the first time. That ability, Earth Wind and Fire, lets him reshape part or all of his body into nearly any object, provided it is not too intricate, does not demand more power than he holds, and does not require a human face, which he cannot mimic because people all look alike to him. Josuke promptly exploits the gift, turning Mikitaka into three dice to swindle Rohan Kishibe, and the con only unravels when sirens from a fire at Rohan's house send both cheats into a panic and let Josuke bolt.

Josuke soon runs into the woman claiming to be Mikitaka's mother, who says they fled Tokyo over her son's alien obsession, though Mikitaka claims she is merely a woman he hypnotized into believing he is her child. Later, in the transmission tower affair, he helps Josuke and Okuyasu probe an abandoned pylon and turns himself into a cable to foil the owner Toyohiro Kanedaichi, who had allied with Yoshihiro to trap Josuke inside Super Fly. Pinned down by Toyohiro's reflecting Stand, Mikitaka accepts being left behind, and Josuke goes on to beat the tower's keeper. His powers cast doubt on the whole story, since he cannot even see Crazy Diamond, and Araki leaves his true nature, alien or human, permanently unresolved. He returns at the close of Part 4 to bid farewell to Reimi.
