Green Day and Oasis, Part 1 stands as Golden Wind's thirtieth episode and the 143rd across the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime. Secco and Oasis hunt Team Bucciarati as Cioccolata's mold spreads, and Bucciarati's corpselike body becomes his strange new shield.
Mista's quick shot has spared the whole team from Green Day's mold, dropping everyone onto the shore where Bucciarati takes over as Narancia's guardian. Watching from above, Cioccolata praises Secco for capturing the group's despairing faces and tosses him treats, which the pet snaps up with startling speed and precision. The doctor then looses Oasis and its user Secco on the fleeing crew.
While Giorno tends the wounded Narancia inside Coco Jumbo, Bucciarati and Mista climb toward a parking lot to steal a car. Narancia, overhearing Trish call Bucciarati cold for ordering him to hurl the turtle, defends his captain and insists she does not know him well enough. On the stairs, a victim's beer cans tumble down and vanish into the ground, tipping Bucciarati off that the mold is not the only threat. The steps liquefy while staying solid, swallowing Mista's gun and Bucciarati's legs as Secco closes in, but Mista recalls his weapon, blasts a road sign, and hauls them up to the lot, with Secco still hunting from below.
Mista tries to pin the enemy down, firing the instant Secco seizes him, yet Secco spits stones to knock the bullets aside and burrows away before Sex Pistols can guide them home. Wounded, Mista watches Bucciarati suddenly leap off the parking lot's edge. Using the fact that Secco cannot truly see, Bucciarati waits inside the wall and hammers him with Sticky Fingers. Startled, Secco shatters the concrete and dives underground, baffled that the mold never touched Bucciarati; he phones Cioccolata to ask whether Green Day spares the dead, describing his foe as a moving corpse. By then the team is already speeding toward Rome.
In the car, Giorno discovers what Secco sensed: Bucciarati has become a walking corpse who feels no pain and whose senses are dulling. Bucciarati accepts it as a blessing and a lingering gift of Gold Experience, asking Giorno to hide it from the others. A growing rumble then heralds a mold-covered body crashing through the windshield, and the crew realizes Cioccolata is above them in a helicopter, seeding the rot just as the Colosseum comes into view. They bail from the sliding car, only to see the rotor wash scatter the mold across a crowd of civilians, horrifying the group and enraging Giorno. To trap the aircraft, Mista and Giorno fire at a nearby tower and grow trees from the bullets, snaring the helicopter and stranding Cioccolata at its top. Giorno and Mista charge up the hill after him while Bucciarati stays behind to settle things with Secco.
Cioccolata sends Secco and Oasis after the team, and Secco proves able to sink and move through solid ground.
Bucciarati ambushes the blind Secco with Sticky Fingers, revealing that Green Day's mold cannot harm his now-corpselike body.
Giorno learns Bucciarati has become a walking corpse and agrees to keep it hidden.
Cioccolata spreads the mold over a crowd from a helicopter until Mista and Giorno trap him atop a tower.
