Destination: Rome! The Colosseum

Working from the impressions Abbacchio captured, Team Bucciarati leaves the shore with a cast of the Boss's face and fingerprints, and Giorno begins hunting down a match. Trish senses that the man was close by, yet Bucciarati holds off on chasing him while fresh enemies are surely massing and his true identity stays unknown. Every records search they attempt, from criminal files to registers of the dead, turns up nothing.

A stranger then reaches them straight through the laptop, claiming to share their aim of toppling Diavolo. Once satisfied the caller truly opposes the Boss, the team accepts an invitation to Rome, lured by a photo of the Arrow and a promise of a buried power capable of overcoming King Crimson. As they sail from Sardegna, Diavolo spies on them, senses their treachery, and dispatches Doppio to trail them while summoning his cruelest operatives, Cioccolata and Secco.

The ally recounts where the Arrows come from: a meteorite that struck Greenland and was unearthed in 1987 by a survey crew who sickened and perished, save for one who awakened strange senses. A virus riding the rock, he explains, turns those who endure it into Stand Users, and the Arrows were forged ages ago to seed such powers widely. He withholds the rest until they meet, naming the Colosseum as the rendezvous.

Reaching a seaside village near Rome after dark, Mista and Narancia keep watch while the others shelter inside Coco Jumbo. A grey ooze begins consuming the drunks along the waterfront, and Mista grasps the ambush only to find his own hand infected. From a hidden perch, Cioccolata and Secco record it all, the doctor having loosed his Stand, Green Day, to seep its rot through the air. A flashback paints Cioccolata as a homicidal ex-surgeon who tormented the elderly as a youth and later killed patients behind a mask of malpractice, taping their suffering to relish later, with Secco his devoted former patient turned pet.

As the mold devours the whole village, Narancia leaps for the boat and is instantly coated along with Coco Jumbo. Watching it spread with downward motion, Giorno reasons that the Stand favors low ground like natural molds and widens its reach by riding its victims. With Narancia crumbling, Mista fires into the boat's engine to blast him and the turtle onto the shore, sparing the team. Bucciarati takes Narancia's place and sends him to Giorno for care, then climbs the stairs toward a parking lot with Mista, leaving Cioccolata quietly impressed.

The team fails to match the Boss's fingerprints to any record, then receives a laptop call from a stranger offering an alliance against Diavolo.

Lured by talk of a hidden power that can defeat King Crimson, they set out for the Colosseum, and the caller reveals the meteorite virus behind Stands and the Arrows.

Diavolo unleashes Cioccolata and Secco, whose Stand Green Day floods a coastal village with lethal mold.

Mista blasts the boat engine to fling the decomposing Narancia and Coco Jumbo to safety as the crew escapes toward Rome.

The episode covers chapter 551 through the opening of chapter 554 and aired on May 11, 2019, ranking as Golden Wind's twenty-ninth episode and the 142nd of the anime. The adaptation reframes Diavolo's introduction of the two assassins so the show's narrator delivers it while Cioccolata's crimes play out on screen. Its opening theme is Uragirimono no Requiem and its ending is Modern Crusaders.
