Tsunagu Hakamada treats clothing as a leash. Fiber Master hands him telekinetic command over thread, so anyone standing near him in a shirt is already halfway restrained. All For One judged the power too demanding to bother stealing, which is its own kind of endorsement.
Fiber Master, romanized as Faibā Masutā, is the medium-range Emitter Quirk belonging to the Pro Hero Tsunagu Hakamada. It debuts in Chapter 87 and Episode 27.
Fiber of any sort bends to the user's will. Cloth of every kind answers, because Tsunagu holds telekinetic dominance over the individual threads composing it, and a clothed target has little way to resist. Someone formidable enough can still react against the pull, All For One among them, but that is the exception. Denim is the textile he handles most easily; sweats give him the most trouble.
The reach extends past fabric to other fibrous material as well, carbon fiber included.
Its strength presumably tracks how much fabric happens to be within reach of him. All For One noted that mastering the ability demands extensive training and experience, enough that he counted it among the few powerful Quirks he refused to take. Izuku Midoriya observed a second constraint: the user has to keep their attention on what they are doing, because a distraction costs them control of the fibers.
Tsunagu Hakamada is the only known wielder. He can unravel part of his own garments into fabric strings and drive them at a target to tie them down, and because his hero costume is covered head to toe in denim, the very textile he handles best, he never lacks a source of ammunition. He also works the clothing of allies to yank them clear of danger, and the clothing of enemies to pin them in place.
His named techniques are Blackout Bind, which loops carbon fiber threads around an opponent's neck to choke them unconscious; Catching Cradle, a woven safety net spun out of his own clothing; Clothing Is the Cage of Our Times, which turns a foe's own outfit into their restraint; and Thread of Hope, which drives many fibers simultaneously to hold or secure everything at once.
Fiber Master is a medium-range Emitter Quirk belonging to the Pro Hero Tsunagu Hakamada that gives him telekinetic control over cloth and other fibrous materials, letting him bind targets with thread.
Tsunagu Hakamada unravels parts of his own clothing, especially the denim covering his hero costume, into strings that he directs at a target to bind them in place.
Yes, Fiber Master extends beyond fabric to other fibrous materials, including carbon fiber.
Fiber Master requires the user's focused attention to maintain control, and mastering it demands extensive training, a difficulty severe enough that All For One chose not to steal the Quirk despite its power.
Tsunagu Hakamada's named techniques with Fiber Master include Blackout Bind, Catching Cradle, Clothing Is the Cage of Our Times, and Thread of Hope.
